How to Fill Up for UGC NET Application Form 2023 December Session?
Step I: Registration Page:-
To complete the UGC NET Application Form for the year 2023 and receive your system-generated Application No., please fill in the following basic information accurately:
(i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name: Enter these details exactly as they appear in your Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University Certificate, using capital letters.
(ii) Date of Birth: Input your date of birth in the format dd/mm/yyyy, exactly as mentioned in your Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University certificate.
(iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address: Provide your own Mobile Number and e-mail address. Please note that only one e-mail address and one Mobile Number can be used for a single application.
Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form:-
In the application form, the applicant needs to provide various essential details:
Personal Information: This section includes your name, gender, parents’ names, mobile number, email address, date of birth, and other personal details.
Permanent Address: Here, you’ll need to input your permanent address, pin code, state code, district, and related information.
Educational Qualification: In this part, you should fill out your educational history, including the course name, college name, year of passing, percentage of marks obtained, and other relevant details.
Once you’ve completed all these sections, click on the “Next” button to proceed with your application.
Step III: Uploading of scanned images & Signature:-
When uploading the candidate’s Photograph & Signature for the UGC NET Application:
Format: Ensure that both the photograph and signature are in JPG/JPEG format only.
Photograph Size: The scanned image of the photograph should have a file size ranging from 10kb to 200kb. Attestation of the photograph is not required.
Signature Size: The scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb. The candidate must sign in running handwriting with a Black Ink pen on white paper, and then scan it for uploading.
Spectacles: Wearing spectacles is allowed, but only if they are regularly used.
Photo Quality: Avoid using Polaroid or computer-generated photos, as they are not acceptable.
Consistency: Use the same Passport size photograph for both uploading in the Online UGC NET Application Form and for pasting on the Attendance Sheet at the Examination Centre.
Step IV: Payment of Fee and Status of Receipt of UGC NET Online Application Form with Fee.
To complete the UGC NET application process, follow these steps:-
- Make Payment: Use SBI, Syndicate, HDFC, ICICI Payment Gateway for fee payment (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or Paytm). Keep proof of the fee payment.
- Confirmation Page: After successfully remitting the fee, download, save, and print a copy of the Confirmation Page for your records and future reference.
- Separate Actions: You can perform each step individually, including submitting the Online UGC NET Application Form, uploading your photograph and signature, making the fee payment, and printing the Confirmation Page.
- Correction Window: After final submission, certain specific fields can be edited only during the correction window. Please note that application particulars can be edited before the final submission of the Application Form.

Candidates are advised to have the following documents ready when filling out the UGC NET 2023 online application:
- Educational certificates and mark sheets.
- Proof of identity: PAN Card, Driver’s License, Passport number, Aadhaar card number, Voter ID card number, or any other valid Government ID proof.

Candidates for the UGC NET December 2023 exam will have the opportunity to correct their application form within a specified time frame provided by NTA. After this period, no corrections will be accepted. Here’s how to make corrections:
